When the 2018 Catholic Men’s Conference rolls open on Jan. 20, organizers hope to see a large contingent of teens and young adult men among the mix.

Founder Pat Wolff and other members of the planning group are reaching out to Guam’s Catholic high schools and other groups on island to invite young men to be part of the conference.

Wolff met with seven other members of the planning committee in the latest meeting last Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Pastoral Conference of the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica in Hagåtña. They all agreed to reach out and encourage youth participation in the event which will feature Archbishop Michael Byrnes as the keynote speaker.

Father Paul Gofigan and the Agaña parish will host the 2018 Men’s Conference at the archdiocese’s mother church. Father Paul and his staff were present at the recent meeting. The next meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 also at the Cathedral Basilica Pastoral Center.

New members to help with the many details of organizing the conference are most welcomed. Please contact Wolff via e-mail at atty.patrick.wolff@gmail.com or Tony Diaz at 562-0065 and tony.diaz@archagana.org.
