At the close of the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, the Silent Witness Outreach was coordinated by St. Anthony-St. Victor Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at the Guam Premium Outlets food court. Seen here in the photo are Roxanne Aguon from St. Anthony’s sexual assault faith-based project and archdiocesan Safe Environment coordinator Tricia Tenorio. (USY photo/Safe Environment Office)
Depicted in these silhouette standees, a “Silent Witness” is a victim “whose voice was silenced as a result of domestic violence,” as described on the plaques of the standees. These two are dedicated to Therese Jean C. Crisostomo and her daughter Erica, for whom the family visitation center, “Erica’s House,” was named after. The plaque reads, “Let her silence be a resounding voice for others who endure domestic violence each day. Let her silence speak for them.” (USY photo/Safe Environment Office)
