For the Umatuna Si Yu’os

The spirited AOLG Class of 1976 continues to make mercy real 40 years later. Academy of Our Lady of Guam 1976 alumnae from Guam and the United States mainland joined forces to raise funds through their generous contributions.

The Class of ‘76 recently celebrated their 40th year reunion. Sister Angela Perez, RSM, their former teacher and now president of the Academy, joined them for dinner for some “blast to the past” as they reminisced of times in the classroom and school activities. The class then presented Sister Angela with their monetary donation of $1,700 for the Academy’s scholarship fund.

The Academy of Our Lady of Guam is grateful for the generous alumnae donors who continue to make it possible for young women on island to receive an Academy education, and be a part of its “sisterhood.” They are truly exemplary of Catherine McAuley’s mission to educate women and children.

Overall, the Class of 1976 had a great reunion with their former teacher as they commemorated 40 years of sisterhood and carrying forth the spirit of Catherine McAuley. May God continue to bless the spirited Class of 1976.
