In his homily, Father Richard encouraged the boys to reflect on the importance of this feast day celebrating the Blessed Mother’s birth. He stated that “Mary said yes to God” and with this “yes” she became one of the most important figures in our Church’s history and tradition. He stressed the point of how Mary is just as important as the Old Testament prophets because she physically held Jesus Christ in her womb and in her arms on the birth of our Savior.

Our “yes” to God, Father Richard continued, is to be the best that we can be with the talents and gifts that God has given us to do His works. Thank you Father Richard, for celebrating Mass with us.

Fortes in Fide.
