On Thursday August 24, 2017, Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio and a few of his staff, visited St. Francis Catholic School in Yoña. His visit to our campus was greatly appreciated, as it brought excitement and hope to us here at SFCS, amid our ongoing construction and major capital improvements.
Our school assembly began with an opening prayer by Mr. Joe Capulong and welcoming remarks by our Vice Principal, Mr. Tony Quitugua, who also offered his message of appreciation to the Lt. Governor for making time to visit our campus.
During his time with our students, Lt. Governor Tenorio shared his personal experiences as a student, a GPD officer, his journey in politics as a senator and becoming the Lt. Governor of Guam. His closing message to our students continued to be one of inspiration as he shared, “if you only take one message from my talk make it this; in life, pray, hope and work hard if you want to achieve your goals.”
Afterwards, Lt. Governor Tenorio took time to take photos with our students, signed a few autographs, and joined some of our students for lunch in our Crusader Hall.
Thank you to Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio for making time to visit St. Francis Catholic School. Also, special thanks to our SFCS students, faculty, staff and administration for making his visit a success.
