The Safe Environment Office of the Archdiocese of Agana has announced the next parish to be trained by members of the Task Force for the Protection of Minors.

The Task Force will conduct training for members of the Blessed Diego Luis de San Vitores parish in Tumon from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.  Task Force chairperson Sarah Thomas-Nededog and member Vince Pereda will facilitate the training.

Blessed Diego parish will become the seventh parish to receive vital training in line with our archdiocese’s efforts to strengthen our efforts against sexual abuse. Other parishes who have received training are St. Francis in Yona, Assumption of Our Lady in Piti, San Isidro in Malojloj, St. Joseph in Inarajan, Santa Teresita in Mangilao and the most recent, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Toto.

The Task Force shifted its presentations to the parish level in January after diligently working to train all 14 of our Catholic schools.

Pastors of parishes ready to schedule their training can call Tricia Tenorio at the Safe Environment Office at 562-0075.
