I have been a member of Youth for Christ (YFC) for almost three years. My parents who are members of Couples for Christ (CFC) encouraged me to attend a YFC Youth Camp back in 2014.

2016 Youth Camp set for July 29-31

As one of the family ministries under the umbrella of CFC, our YFC ministry aims to mold young generations from ages 13 to 18 to be passionate and Christ-centered teenagers.

The YFC Youth Camp that IO participated in 2014 was one of the greatest learning experiences that I had in my life. I was able to know more about God, myself, and the Christian values that I possess to apply in my daily life.

I learned to praise and worship God, pray with sincere intention, pray for others, and thank the Lord for anything and everything that He has blessed me with.

The second time I attended the YFC Camp was last year and it was actually my first “camping” experience. We slept in tents at night and even had a bonfire together with my peers and other members of the CFC Community. It was another memorable experience with many challenges and obstacles that I overcame.

During the talks, I was able to facilitate and grow stronger in my faith together with other participants. We became closer with one another and created an unforgettable bond with the amount of time we had. At the same time, my relationship with God grew so much greater than before.

The camp was full of amazing talks and wonderful people. It was a successful and enjoyable event that I will never forget because it truly had an impact on my life.

2016 Youth Camp set for July 29-31

This year we will have another YFC Youth Camp, open to all teens from throughout the island Friday to Sunday, July 29-31. Details of this year’s camp will be discussed at 7 p.m. July 19 at the Calvo residence in Yigo.

Our ministry hopes to inspire peers of my age to yearn to grow in their faith and to have an endless desire to serve God.
