Before entering the Pope John XXIII Seminary after the passing of his late wife Helen, Kenneth L. Carriveau served in various positions within the professional field of education such as Superintendent of Catholic Schools on Guam and instructor at the University of Guam before retiring professor emeritus of library science, as well as being actively involved at the Richard Taitano Micronesian Area Research Center in the university.

Since 2003 after being ordained as a priest until his retirement in 2009, Father Ken, as he was most commonly known, had been a pastor for the Malojloj parish of San Isidro. Since then, he was appointed as the Archdiocesan Archivist on Sept. 2016. We bid Father Ken farewell as he moves to the mainland after decades of serving our island as an educator and priest.
